Complete the following activities:
Based on the plans contained in the PDF “Ardenwood Bid Set”, use the VXZ file “Ardenwood” to develop the proposed tasks:
A. Convert the section plans from the PDF file to DWG using AutoCAD, following the instructions given in the video C.1 PDF to DWG.
B. Following the process outlined in the video C.3 DWG to VXP, open the previously worked sections in the Vertex BD workspace; then save each one as a template in the “Ardenwood” project folder, located on the local disk (C:).
C. In the first-floor plan view, using the architectural plans as reference, create the section marks on Vertex BD.
D. Once the sections are created, in the toolbar, within the “Output” menu, insert the previously saved templates as reference drawings into the “Drawing Sheets”.
Once the activity is completed, you will be able to download a file containing the solution. This will allow you to compare your results and reinforce your learning independently.
